We have established our own research and development centre in second half of 2006 which meets the technology requirements and standards of and is recognized as Provincial-level Corporate Technology Centre in the Fujian Province. The research centre is mainly responsible for developing new products and upgrading the application functions of the existing products of our Group with an aim to enhance the quality of the products, widen the application scope of the products and reduce the production costs. It is also responsible for product testing and inspection as well as technology promotion.

Our research centre is equipped with advanced equipment with strong capacity in development and renovation. The research centre has accomplished a number of research results and successfully developed and improved various types of functional fabrics, non-woven materials and filtration materials. From 2006 to 2010, our research centre had successfully completed a number of research projects which had commercially applied to 27 products. We have registered two patent jointly with Tianjin Polytechnic University and we are applying for registration of 21 patents.

Since 2006, we have co-operated with Tianjin Polytechnic University to jointly carry out certain research and development projects on non-woven materials. In 2008, we have entered into a cooperation agreement with Wuhan Textile University (formerly known as Wuhan University of Science and Engineering) to further enhance its research and development capacity. Our research team currently comprises a team of full-time staff which is led by Prof. Guo Bing Chen who graduated, taught and conducted researches in textile engineering in Tianjin Polytechnic University for over 37 years. The team works closely with the two universities who are respectively led by Prof. Zhang Jian Fei, Prof. Jiao Xiao Ning and Prof. Qian Xiao Ming of Tianjin Polytechnic University and Prof. Zhang Shang Yong, Prof. Yi Zhang Hai and Prof. Xiang Xin Zhu of Wuhan University of Science and Engineering.
